Michael Todd True Organics

Last week Michael Todd True Organics had a special. You purchased one item and got two free. I purchased the oatmeal spice soap for $7.50 plus shipping and received the walnut grapefruit polishing scrub ($14.00 on the website this morning) and the pumpkin facial mask for free.
I tried two of the three products this morning and thought I would share my initial thoughts with you.
The oatmeal spice soap has a wonderful scent which makes me think of Grandma's porridge. Warm and homey. It has ground cloves and whole and ground oatmeal which provide excellent exfoliation. It also lathers well which was a concern for me.
The walnut grapefruit polishing scrub is very nice with a refreshing citrus scent. There are no large chunky granules in it but it gets the job done. I love that this can be used on both the face and body. It leaves the skin feeling wonderfully soft and smooth. I didn't find that the scents lingered on the skin which is fine with me because I like to use my scent of choice after a shower.
Lastly, I am happy to report that neither product irritated my sensitive skin and I am looking forward to trying the pumpkin mask.

Dare to be: Moisturized

The changing weather can really take a toll on your skin. Keeping moisturized can become a chore. A product I am really loving at the moment is Avon comforting moisture multi-purpose cream.

  Product claims:
  • Lightweight non-greasy cream for face, body and hands
  • 24 hour long lasting moisturization
  • Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin
  • Suitable for any family member , from 3yrs and up
  • Hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested

My thoughts:

I love this product!

It is definitely lightweight, non-greasy and fast absorbing. On my skin it does offer 24 hour protection. I don't find myself going dry or ashy. My children have very dry skin and I find that it works very well on them but not as long as it does on me. I find that they get 12-18hrs of moisturization.

My daughter has extremely sensitive eczema prone skin and has no adverse reactions. I think the oat extracts help to relieve her itching.

I have never used this on my face but my son does with no problems.

The product does have a light scent that I can't quite pinpoint. It's most likely coming from the chamomile and oat extracts. I don't find it at all offensive and it doesn't interfere with other scents you may want to wear.

Final thoughts:

This product lives up to its claims and is great for the winter months. Providing maximum moisture for the whole family.

This product is available from your Avon representative or Avon.com

I LOVE this product so much that for my first blog post I will be giving one away so you can try it.
